Bananas are one of the most carefully managed products in fresh produce — harvested green, shipped under tightly controlled conditions, and ripened near the destination market. But the plant generates enormous volumes of by-product the industry rarely captures: stems, leaves, pseudostem, and downgraded green fruit.
We built a platform that recovers value from all of it. Rather than a single product, the banana stream yields three distinct commercial outputs — each addressing a different market.
Three products from one plant
Transport pallets — banana pseudostem upcycled into sustainable, ISPM-15 certified export transport pallets, replacing freshly cut wood in shipping and handling.
Potassium-enriched fertilizer — pseudostem processed into potassium-enriched fertilizer, returning nutrients to agricultural use.
Green banana flour — clean-label resistant starch from green bananas that supports gut health, stabilizes blood sugar, is gluten-free, and reduces food waste.
The same plant material the industry treats as waste, rebuilt into infrastructure, agricultural input, and clean-label ingredient.
