In global logistics, pallets are everywhere — every shipment, every warehouse, every export container. And most of them are made from freshly cut wood.

Which is strange, when you consider the world already produces millions of tons of fibrous agricultural waste every year. Banana stems. Wheat straw. Barley husks. Rice husks. Sugar beet pulp. Most of it ends up burned, composted, or underutilised.

Waste becomes infrastructure

The production of pressed pallets from waste provides an innovative solution for replacing wood in industry. It's a strong and biodegradable raw material, particularly suited to shipping and handling pallets for packaging and transportation.

By compressing agricultural fibres at high temperature and pressure, these waste streams transform into export-grade pallets. Because the material is heat-pressed during manufacturing, the pallets are ISPM-15 compliant — no fumigation, no additional treatment, ready for international shipping.

We have gained tremendous experience in adapting organic material to this process. Sometimes the circular economy doesn't require inventing new materials — just looking at the ones we discard differently.
